After receiving 2 or sometimes 3 phone calls a day from 3, trying to get me to sign up for another contract, I got fed up of them. Plus I didn’t like any of the phones they were trying to fob me off with. So, yesterday, I had a quick look around the internet, found a couple of phones I liked the look of, found a couple of deals and Lisa & I ernt into Durham to have a look at the phones in question. In the Vodafone shop, I fell in love with the Sony Ericsson W900i. In White:

Which kind of spins open to reveal the keys:

Neither of these photos are actually of my phone, they are ‘library’ ones I found on google. It has everything I need & want:3G, mp3 playback & ringtones, bluetooth, e-mail, a User Interface I am already familiar with so on and so forth. It even has one extra feature I have been waiting for SE to implement, in that I can now select mp3 tones as my message tone, which I couldn’t do on any other SE I’ve owned. When the phone is in ‘File Transfer’ Mode, it appears as 2x Flash Drives on Lisa’s computer, so hopefully it will do the same on Linux, so I can use it with my home box. EDIT: It Does!!!!
Back to the vodafone shop however, I managed to get such a good deal from the guy behind the counter, that I more or less took his hand off, and as such lost a little of my faith in Internet Shopping!
